When a customer logs into your WiFi you can specify certain fields they have to input to gain access. These fields can be used to create curated segments for your marketing campaigns.

  1. Select WiFi on the top-left and select your venue.

  2. Within the settings section, click on Capture.

  3. From this page you can add three options to change how the capture form functions:

    1. Fields

    2. Custom fields

    3. Login options

  4. Fields: This allows you to choose premade questions you would like to ask your customers, such as name, phone number, DOB etc.

  5. Custom Fields: This allows you to create your own custom questions, which can have a text answer, a drop-down answer, (where you can choose the options), multiple choice answer (the same as the drop-down answer but allowing multiple answers) or a yes/no question. You can add more questions by hitting the plus icon.

  6. Login options:

    Email validation:
After selecting your questions, you will have the option to turn on "E-Mail Validation". This is the automated service that sends out an email to all of your customers once they've logged in for the first time. It's a great way to do extra validation on emails, but our service does this automatically once the email is sent.

    Facebook:

The next thing to consider is Facebook login. The benefit is that customers might find it easier to log in to their Facebook to get to the Wi-Fi. What will happen is that we scrape Facebook for any data that they have made public, if any field is not covered by Facebook the customer will be prompted to answer any outstanding questions before login.

To get a Facebook login setup, you will need to get your Facebook ID. This can be obtained here: https://findmyfbid.com/

    Apple:

The next thing to consider is using "Apple Login". Users with an Apple device can login through the WiFi by using their Apple ID.

Note: If the user decides to hide their email you may see in the dashboard some emails ending in "@privaterelay.appleid.com". You will still be able to contact these customers as this will just forward to their verified Apple ID email.

  7. Finally, you can set up SMS verification and configure what email you want confirmation to be sent from. Once complete hit save.
