The article introduces new symbols in a booking system to enhance user understanding of booking features. The symbols include: a pencil for updated bookings, a little man for accessibility needs, a clipboard for internal staff notes, an envelope for customer email replies, a red "A" for allergen alerts, speech marks for guest notes, a yellow star for email campaign bookings, and a cake for birthday bookings. Each symbol provides specific information to streamline the booking process and improve user experience.
We've introduced some new symbols to our booking system to help you quickly grasp certain features of a booking. Below is a list of these symbols and their meanings.
The Pencil: This symbol shows that the booking has been updated by either a staff member or the customer. This could involve a change to the booking time, table, or number of guests.
The Little Man: This icon indicates that the booking requires accessibility, which could mean wheelchair access or a highchair/buggy for young children.
Clipboard: The clipboard represents an internal note added by a staff member, including details about the booking and a timestamp to help you keep track of any changes.
Envelope: The envelope indicates that the customer has replied to a booking email, which can be found in the inbox section of the Stampede product.
Red A: The red "A" symbol stands for allergens (and is bright red for safety), and you'll also see a large red banner at the top of the booking menu highlighting the customer's allergies.
Speech Marks: This indicates that a guest has left a note while creating or editing the booking, which can be viewed in the booking menu.
Yellow Star: The yellow star signifies that a customer made a booking through an email campaign sent using the Stampede marketing service. In the booking menu, you can see exactly which email they used to book, which can be helpful for ROI and data research.
Cake: The cake icon next to a booking indicates that it is the customer's birthday. This is useful to know, as you can give special attention to this table. This icon only appears when the keyword "Birthday" is mentioned in customer notes.
