The article explains how to customise booking types for special offers like afternoon tea or brunch at a venue. Users can navigate to the Bookings section, configure settings, and create new booking types by selecting times and associating tables. Details such as the name, associated tables, and available booking times can be specified. After configuration, users can save, edit, or delete these booking types.
Booking types help you tailor the bookings made by your customers. If you have special offers like afternoon tea or a boozy brunch, you can make these options available for booking.
- Select Bookings from the left-hand menu and choose your venue.
Scroll down to the bottom of the bookings page and click on Configuration.
Next, select times from the top of the page. This will take you to the settings for different time events at your venue.
- Click the plus icon next to the booking types section to start creating your booking type.
A pop-up will appear for you to enter the details of the booking type:
Name: This is the name for the booking type, such as 'Afternoon Tea', 'Bowling', or 'Spa'.
Tables: These are the tables associated with this booking type. For instance, you might have a section for the bar area that doesn’t serve food, and you can also select combinations of tables.
Times: Enter the times when customers can book this type. For lunchtime, you might only want to allow bookings for midday and not for the evening. You can also set the duration for these booking types.
Once you've set everything up, click on Save.
Note: You can edit these types by clicking the small pencil icon next to your booking type, or delete them by pressing the bin icon.
