The article outlines a step-by-step guide for adding vouchers to an email marketing campaign. It involves selecting the marketing option, creating a campaign using templates, enabling vouchers, and choosing a segment for distribution. Users can automate the campaign, set a spend-per-head amount, and insert voucher codes or QR images into the template. The process concludes with sending a preview and scheduling the campaign for immediate or later delivery. The guide includes links for creating templates and redeeming vouchers, ensuring a comprehensive setup for effective marketing.
Adding a voucher for your marketing campaign is quite straightforward; all you need to do is include a QR code and a unique code in your email marketing campaign. The steps below will guide you through the process.
- Select Marketing from the menu.
-
Under Campaigns, choose Email.
-
To start creating your marketing campaign, click on the create button.
-
After that, you can select an existing or recommended template to build your campaign. If you need to create a unique template, please refer to this guide. Create a campaign name and enter the email subject for your marketing campaign. Then, at the bottom of the popup, select Enable Vouchers and choose your voucher code from the drop-down menu.
- Once you're satisfied with the initial setup, click on Create.
- Select a segment to send your marketing campaign to. If you haven't created a custom segment yet, please take a look at this guide for assistance. If you'd like the campaign to be triggered automatically when customers meet specific criteria, simply turn on the automation switch.
-
Enter a spend-per-head amount.
This is calculated using WiFi returns to your physical venue. For example, if you input £20, when a customer returns, you'll see an additional £20 added to your campaign return estimate.
After entering the spend-per-head amount, click on Continue.
- Complete your marketing template and click on the section where you'd like to add the voucher QR code. Just a quick note, this needs to be a text box.
-
Once you've clicked on the section, click on the "Merge Tags" button at the bottom right.
-
A drop-down will appear for the voucher code merge tag.
Voucher Code: This is a unique code automatically generated for each email, consisting of various characters that the server can use to redeem the voucher.
Voucher QR Image (Recommended): This is a compressed version of the voucher code in a single QR code. We recommend this option as it reduces the chances of errors when entering the code manually.
For best practice, it's a good idea to include both in case the QR code cannot be scanned by the server. Here's an example of how this will look.
- Once you've finished setting up your campaign, you can send yourself a preview to see how it will look. Just keep in mind that the QR code won't appear in the preview, as it's not a live email. When you're ready, click on Continue.
- In the preview screen, confirm that you're happy with the campaign and click on Continue.
-
Choose when you would like to send your campaign.
Send Now: This option will send your campaign to your segment immediately.
Send Later: You can choose a specific time to send your campaign to your segment.
Once you've made your choice, click on ‘Send!’
- Congratulations, you've now created a marketing campaign that includes unique voucher codes. Click here to learn how to redeem customer vouchers.
