When connecting to a paid network with Stampede sometime clients will see the following error:
A device 'slot' is allocated based on the amount of devices included in your payment plan. A 'slot' will be occupied by a device from the time it is first connected until it times out. The timeout length is set individually based on location. It is usually something between 2 and 12 hours. Once your devices has timed out a slot will be free and another one can be added.
Sometimes a user doesn't mean to log in on certain devices, or makes mistakes. Taking up slots they paid for. Below is a quick guide on how to remove those devices from said slots.
-
Click the 'Search' icon in the bottom right
-
In the 'Search customer' enter the email address/ phone number of the customer, once you find their account, the underlined contact info.
-
On their account you will find every interaction the customer has made since registering on your WiFi. At the top of the screen you will see the "WiFi" icon. Click it
-
At the bottom of this page you will find 'WiFi Payments', click the dropdown menu. You can now see all WiFi payments and devices (both active devices and previously connected devices.) click all devices until all sliders are grey, this means that they are now disconnected and will be removed from the WiFi, freeing up the slots for other users.
-
At the right side of the payment, click the 'Edit' icon, shown below is the payment editing screen, you can edit the number of devices, payment amount, and number of hours of access for the account (Note: Don't forget to save your changes).
