In this article you learn how to help customers unsubscribe from marketing emails or manage their data preferences using Stampede. The quickest method is through the “Unsubscribe from our emails” link found at the bottom of any marketing email, which leads to a preferences page for unsubscribing or updating communication settings. Alternatively, customers can log into the Stampede Data Portal at my.stampede.ai to manage permissions, revoke venue access, update contact details, or export their data. If a customer asks how to unsubscribe from your marketing emails or manage their data permissions, here’s everything you need to know so you can guide them confidently.
Option 1: Unsubscribe via Email Footer (Fastest Way)
All marketing emails sent through Stampede include an “Unsubscribe from our emails” link at the bottom.
To advise your customer:
“You can unsubscribe by opening one of our emails and clicking ‘Unsubscribe from our emails’ in the footer. Once you click that link, you’ll be removed from our marketing list.”
This method only unsubscribes them from your venue’s emails, if they’ve signed up with other venues using Stampede, they’ll need to unsubscribe from each one individually.
Email Footer Copy (Visible on All Marketing Emails)
At the bottom of each email, recipients will see the following text:
“Don’t want to get emails like this? [Unsubscribe from our emails]”
What Happens After Clicking “Unsubscribe”
Once a customer clicks "Unsubscribe from our emails", they’ll be taken to a preferences page where they can:
- Confirm they want to unsubscribe
- Manage or update their communication preferences
Confirmation Message
After updating their preferences, the guest will see a confirmation message letting them know their changes have been saved successfully.
Option 2: Manage Preferences via the Stampede Data Portal
Guests can take full control of their data and communication preferences at any time using the Stampede Data Portal.

Once logged in, they can:
- See which venues have access to their data
- Revoke access from specific venues
- Update their email and contact preferences

Once a guest logs into my.stampede.ai, they’ll see the following sections:
- Access: Control which venues have permission to use their data
- Interactions: View where and when they’ve connected with Stampede venues
- Settings: Update contact info and preferences
- Data: Request an export of their data
