Customer Origins is a tool that helps businesses identify the geographical locations of their customers using postcodes. This feature is beneficial for planning expansions and creating targeted promotions. By accessing the 'Reports' section and selecting 'Origin', users can view a map showing customer distribution across the UK, with more detailed data available through zooming. The map displays concentrations of customers and highlights venues in cities like Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Sheffield. Additionally, a heat map and gender distribution are available, enhancing the tool's utility in strategic planning.
Customer Origins helps you discover where your customers are located by using their postcodes. This insight can be really useful for planning future expansions or creating venue-specific offers and promotions.
- First, in the bottom-left corner of the screen, click the 'Reports' button.
Next, click 'Origin' to see all the locational data collected by Stampede.
Like other reporting pages on the Stampede website, this one allows you to view the origin map for specific date periods.
The date range widget is quite flexible, letting you choose specific weeks, years, quarters, or a custom date range.
When you open origins, you'll see a map of the UK. Each number represents a contact in that area. You can also spot venues in Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Sheffield. The numbers closest to the venues are usually higher, as locals tend to visit more often.
(A heat map is also available)
The more you zoom in, the more spread out the numbers become, providing more detailed records, even down to specific streets.
- In the image above, you can see several coloured dots, which indicate a high concentration of male or female contacts (green = male, red = female, purple = unknown).
