The campaign report provides a comprehensive analysis of marketing email campaigns, accessible via the report icon next to each campaign in MarketingEmails. It includes a dashboard with details on customer interactions, campaign ROI, and content specifics. Key sections include metrics on return visits, a click map showing link engagement, and a list of most engaged contacts. Location data is also available to help target specific audiences. The sending report outlines email performance, detailing sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, and unsubscribed emails. It features retargeting icons for segmenting customers based on interaction, enhancing follow-up strategies.
Below, you'll find information on how to access the campaign report and what it contains.
The campaign report is located next to each campaign. Simply head to MarketingEmails and click the report icon next to the campaign.
Upon opening the campaign report, you'll be welcomed by the dashboard. Here, you'll find details about customer interactions, campaign ROI, and content specifics. Below the dashboard, you'll discover a more comprehensive report.
First, you'll see the Returned to venue section.
Return Visit ROI - The revenue generated by returning customers who viewed this campaign.
Unique Return Visit - The count of uniquely returning customers.
Return Visits - The total number of returning customers (including repeat visits).
As you scroll down, you'll encounter the click map, which displays a copy of your campaign along with a mouse icon, indicating how many times customers clicked on each link. This helps you understand where customers engaged and how it influenced their journey.
Below the click map, you'll find a clear list of every link on your page and the number of times they were clicked.
In addition to tracking clicks, you can also view your most engaged contacts, which shows how many times a customer interacted with the campaign (blurred for privacy reasons).
Here's another visual representation of your customer data. Location data can be incredibly helpful for targeting tourists or locals and offers better insights into your clientele. Below are the top locations where your customers are based (likely close to your venue).
Finally, we arrive at the sending report, which details how many of your customers opened, interacted with, and received your email campaign.
Sent: The total number of emails sent in the campaign.
Delivered: The number of successful deliveries.
Unique Opens: The number of opens by unique customers.
Opens: The total number of opens, including repeat opens!
Unique Click: The number of clicks by unique customers.
Clicks: The total number of clicks, including repeat clicks!
Bounced: These are users whose email addresses were blocked. It can be a soft bounce, where the service will try again later due to reasons like a full inbox or temporary unavailability. It can also be a hard bounce, such as when the sending domain is marked as spam, the email address has been deleted, or the email address is incorrect. In this case, the service will add the user to the suppression list and will not attempt to contact them again.
Unsubscribed: These are users who unsubscribed via the link at the bottom of the campaign (this link is necessary to remain GDPR compliant).
A wonderful feature of the sending report is the ability to follow up using the campaign retargeting icons next to each of the clicks and opens titles. This allows you to automatically create segments to target customers who have or haven't opened or clicked the campaign. It's a great way to reach out to customers who may have missed your initial campaign or an important link!
