How Reviews Are Retrieved
Stampede connects with two different Google APIs to fetch your business reviews:
1. Google Places API
- Pulls the latest 5 reviews for active, paying subscriptions.
- Syncs four times a day (every 6 hours).
- Reviews are processed to remove duplicates.
- Sentiment analysis is applied to help categorise feedback as positive or negative.
- Only the most recent 5 reviews are retrieved per sync any others posted within the 6-hour block are not captured.
2. Google Business Profile API
- Allows user authorisation via your Google Account.
- Pulls up to 25 reviews once daily at 3 AM.
- Supports pagination, enabling access to historical reviews.
- Users can manually trigger a sync if they don’t want to wait for the daily pull.
- When linked, Stampede will use this API instead of the Places API for more comprehensive data.
AI Reply Functionality
- AI replies are only supported for reviews pulled via the Google Business Profile API.
- Stampede sends the review ID and your credentials to generate a response using ChatGPT.
- You’ll see a Google icon next to the reply button if the review is eligible for AI response.
