Why Link Your Google Business Profile?

Connecting your Google Business Profile (GBP) allows Stampede to use Google’s Business Profile API instead of the more limited Places API. This unlocks:

• Up to 25 reviews daily (vs. just 5).
• Access to older reviews through pagination.
• The ability to generate AI-powered replies to reviews.
• Greater reliability and manual refresh options.

How to Link Your Account

Follow these steps to connect your Google Business Profile:

Step 1: Log in to Stampede
Make sure you're an admin user or have the correct permissions to manage integrations.

Step 2: Navigate to Reviews
Go to the Reviews section from your Stampede dashboard.

Step 3: Select the Google Business Profile icon
Click on the blue storefront icon labelled “Google Business Profile ” to start the connection process.

Step 4: Authorise Access
You’ll be redirected to Google:

• Log into the Google account that manages your business.
• Approve the permissions requested.

Step 5: Choose Your Business Location
Select the correct venue from the list (if you manage more than one).

Step 6: Confirm and Save
Confirm your selection and save your settings.

Step 7: Confirmation
Once connected:

• A Google icon will appear next to reviews pulled via the Business Profile API.
• These reviews are now eligible for AI-generated replies.
• Review data will automatically sync daily at 3 AM.

Troubleshooting Tips

• If you don’t see your business listed, make sure your Google account is the primary owner of the location.
• If reviews aren’t appearing, try re-syncing your Google account from within the settings.
• Contact Stampede Support if your location is managed via a third-party or agency account.

Pro Tip

Need to test if your account is connected? Head to the Reviews section and look for the Google icon next to the reply button. That’s your sign that the Business Profile API is active and ready to go!
