The guide advises consulting IT experts and hardware documentation before configuring Stampede's external captive portal and RADIUS authentication. Users log into product.stampede.ai, select a venue, and configure Wi-Fi hardware with external portal URLs and RADIUS servers. They must whitelist specific domains, enable recommended settings like HTTPS redirection, and assign configurations to guest networks. Support is available via email or IT professionals.
Before You Begin
We strongly recommend that you:
- Consult your IT provider or network engineer before making changes
- Refer to your hardware vendor’s official documentation
- Ensure your hardware supports external captive portals and RADIUS authentication
Configure Stampede
Log in to product.stampede.ai
Select the venue you wish to configure
Click on Wi-Fi
Click Hardware
From here please take note of the Vendor Configurations and Network Setup. (Depending on manufacturers it will require entering the hostname, username and password to connect to the controller instead.)
If you have chosen a controller, a successful connection will show "Connected" (This example is for a UniFi Controller).
Verify the checklist is all green, then "Mark as Complete"
Configure Your Network Hardware
Access your router, access point, or controller and locate the Guest Network or Captive Portal settings.
Enable Captive Portal
- Enable the Guest Wi-Fi or Captive Portal feature

Some systems may refer to this as walled garden, pre-authentication access, or allowed domains.
