Pro Tips: Segmenting Customers After a Sign-Up Form
- Keep tags simple and meaningful – Use clear tags like
newsletter
,birthday-club
, orevent-interest
to make segmentation easy to manage. - Use emojis in segment names – A little 👀 or ✉️ makes segments easier to spot and adds some fun to your dashboard!
- Test your form – Fill it out yourself first to make sure the tag is applied and the segment updates correctly.
- Use multiple tags if needed – You can add more than one tag to a form if you'd like customers to join multiple segments automatically.
- Name your segments clearly – So future you (or your teammates) always know what they’re for.
