In this article, you'll learn how to configure a Special Day in Stampede Bookings.
Special Days are ideal for adjusting your booking setup for specific dates like holidays, events, or one-off venue changes without disrupting your standard availability. You can customise availability, table usage, guest rules, and more.
1. Go to Bookings
Head to Venues from the left-hand navigation bar, then select Bookings to open the dashboard.
(If you have only one venue, selecting Venues will take you straight to your Bookings.)
2. Open Special Dates
Scroll to the bottom of the bookings page and click Special Dates, or go to Configuration and select Special Dates from the list.
3. Create or Edit a Special Day
Click the Create button to create a new special day, or use the pencil icon to edit an existing one. This opens the configuration panel.
4. Configure Special Date Settings

For example, if your last booking should be at 8pm and the default duration is 2 hours, set service hours until 10pm to allow that booking to appear as an option.
Daily Cover Limits
- Limit the number of covers that can be booked per day or during specific time slots
- Useful for balancing bookings with reduced staff, kitchen load, or event setup
💡 Pro Tip:
Use Special Days to control one-off changes in availability perfect for early closures, ticketed events, or reduced capacity. Combine this with table overrides, custom service hours, and cover limits to stay in full control.
