This article explains how to set up booking types by navigating to Bookings, selecting the desired venue, and accessing the configuration settings. It details options like same-day bookings, table buffer time, displaying sister venues, and showing booking end times to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
1. Go to Bookings
To set up booking types, go to Bookings to open the dashboard.
(If you have only one venue, selecting Venues will take you straight to your Bookings.)
1.5. Select Venue
If you have multiple venues, you will need to choose the one you want to configure. Select venues to open the list.
Listed venues will pop up; select the one you want to configure.
2. Open Configuration
In the top right corner, select the Settings option. This will take you to the configuration pages for your bookings.
3. Configure Booking Options
You’ll now see the following settings:
- Same Day Bookings
Enable this setting to allow customers to make bookings for the same day.
Useful for walk-ins, last-minute plans, or off-peak availability.
- Table Buffer Time (in minutes)
Set a time between table bookings to create a gap for each booking slot. This is useful to give staff time to clear and prepare tables.
- Show Sister Venues
Turn this on to allow users to view and book at your related venues during the booking flow.
Great for groups or venues with multiple branches.
- Show Booking End Times
Displays the end times of a booking to the customer.
Ideal when you want to make booking durations clear upfront.
Pro Tip:
Showing end times and enabling sister venues gives customers more transparency and choice, especially useful for large groups, time-sensitive bookings, or brand-loyal guests.
