In this article, you'll learn how to set and manage service hours in Stampede Bookings.
Service hours define when bookings can be accepted for each day of the week. They directly affect what time slots appear in your Day Planner and on your public booking form, ensuring bookings align with your actual opening hours and operational flow.
1. Go to Bookings
Head to Venues from the left-hand navigation bar, then select Bookings to open the dashboard.
(If you have only one venue, selecting Venues will take you straight to your Bookings.)
2. Open Configuration
Scroll to the bottom of the bookings page and click on Configuration.
From the menu, select Service Hours.
3. Set Your Weekly Service Hours
You’ll now see a full weekly calendar where you can define your opening and closing times for each day:
- Monday to Sunday – Toggle each day as open or closed
- Use the time selectors to set your opening and closing hours (e.g. 12:00 to 22:00)
You can also create multiple time blocks per day if needed (e.g. split lunch and dinner service).
4. Service Hours + Booking Duration
Service hours work together with your Default Duration to determine the last available booking time.
For example:
If your service hours end at 8pm and your Default Duration is 2 hours, a customer won’t be able to book at 8pm. The latest available slot will be 6pm.
To allow bookings at 8pm with a 2-hour duration, your service hours must extend to 10pm.
5. How Service Hours Affect the Day Planner
Your Day Planner view will only display time slots that fall within your defined service hours. If service hours aren’t set correctly, your tables may appear unavailable, or time slots might be missing.
Be sure to extend service hours appropriately to account for your longest booking durations, particularly during evenings or late-night service.
Pro Tip:
When setting up Special Dates or Booking Types, you can define separate service hours for those rules. Be sure to review service hours across the board to avoid gaps in availability or confusion for your guests.
