In this article, you'll learn how to manage bookings using the Floor View in Stampede Bookings.
Floor View gives you a live, interactive view of your venue’s table layout, making it easy to track, update, and seat bookings in real time. It’s especially useful during service, helping your team stay on top of who’s arriving, who’s seated, and which tables are turning over next.
1. Go to Bookings
Head to Venues from the left-hand navigation bar, then select Bookings to open the dashboard.
(If you have only one venue, selecting Venues will take you straight to your Bookings.)
2. Open Floor View
Scroll to the bottom of the bookings page and click Floor Plan.
3. Viewing the Floor Plan
If you’ve already created and saved your layout, you’ll now see tables arranged according to your design, with any assigned bookings placed on top of them.
Each booking card will display:
- Guest name or initials
- Party size
- Duration
- Booking symbols (e.g. notes, allergies, birthday)
4. Manage Bookings from the Floor View
Click on any booking to open its details and make updates.
You’ll be able to:
- Change booking status (active, arrived, seated, check dropped, paid, etc.)
- Seat now & override if the booking needs to be seated earlier than scheduled
- View guest contact details and any guest/internal notes
- See table return times (e.g. “Tables will be needed back at 16:45”)
- Respond to availability messages such as:
“There are no available tables for a party of undefined. Try reducing the duration of the booking.”
5. Adjust Side Navigation Filters
On the left-hand side, you’ll see a settings panel to control which bookings are visible in the Floor View. You can toggle on/off:
- Active Bookings – Bookings currently in operation (active, arrived, seated, etc.)
- Cancelled Bookings – Shows bookings that have been cancelled or marked as no-show
- Complete Bookings – Shows bookings that have been finalised (paid, complete)
- Unhandled Bookings – Shows bookings that were left in an active state but are now in the past
Make your selections and click Update Settings to apply the filters.
Pro Tip:
Floor View is the best view to use during service. It gives your team live oversight of what’s happening across all tables—helping them seat guests faster, turn tables more efficiently, and provide a smoother experience overall.
