In this article, you’ll learn how to manage your own set of standardised UTM values using the UTM Parameter Planner in Stampede. This ensures your marketing links stay clean, consistent, and easy to report on no matter who creates them.
1. Navigate to the Link Manager
From the left-hand menu, click on Marketing.
Then, under Front of house / Website, select Forms.
2. Select UTM Planner
Then, under Front of house / Website, select Forms, and from the sub-menu, click on UTM Planner.
3. Explore the UTM Parameter Planner
The UTM Parameter Planner allows you to build and maintain a library of approved UTM values for:
- Source (e.g. facebook, newsletter, podcast)
- Medium (e.g. email, sms, ppc, paid_social)
- Campaign (e.g. product_launch, seasonal, jan-content)
- Content (e.g. cta, image, banner, video)
- Term (e.g. pricing, tutorial, guide)
These values appear as suggested options when you're building links using the Link Manager.
4. Add New UTM Values
To add a new value:
- Click + Add next to the relevant category
- Type your value and hit Enter
This keeps your UTM structure consistent and avoids mislabelled campaign data.
5. Remove or Clean Up
- Use Batch Delete to remove multiple entries at once
- Delete individual entries using the bin icon next to each one
6. Use Templates to Get Started
The Templates area provides a full list of pre-loaded industry-standard UTM values. These are ideal if you're setting this up for the first time and want a solid starting point.
