In this article, you’ll learn when and how to add a customer to your suppression list in Stampede. This is useful when a guest no longer wants to receive marketing emails, or when their contact details are invalid or flagged.
The suppression list is a tool within Stampede that helps you stay compliant with customer communication preferences and data quality. You should add a customer to the suppression list when:
- They’ve asked to unsubscribe but haven’t clicked the unsubscribe link in your emails
- Their email address is invalid or has caused a bounce
- They’ve marked your emails as spam
Once a customer is on the suppression list, they will no longer receive marketing communications from your venue.
How to Add a User to the Suppression List
- In the navigation bar, click Marketing
- Go to the Email section under Campaigns
- In the sidebar, click Suppressions
In the top-right corner, click the pink “+” button to add a user
- Enter the customer’s email address
- Click “Suppress User”
The email address will now be added to your suppression list and blocked from future campaign emails.
