In this article, you’ll learn how to generate short links, apply UTM tracking, and organise your campaigns using the Link Manager.
Whether you're running email newsletters, social media ads, or physical posters, every campaign needs a trackable link. Stampede’s Link Manager helps you create, manage, and monitor all of them in one place.
1. Navigate to the Link Manager
From the left-hand menu, click on Marketing.
Then, under Front of house / Website, select Forms.
2. Select Link Manager
From the sub-menu, click on Link Manager.
3. Click ‘Create Link’
Click the Create Link button at the top right to open the link builder.
You’ll move through three sections:
- Link Details
- UTM Parameters
- QR Code
Fill in Link Details
Under Link Details, complete the required fields:
- Original URL – The full destination address (e.g. https://example.com/your-page)
- Select a Product – If applicable, pick a Stampede product to link to directly
- URL Preview – This will show a live preview of your final short link
Then click Next to continue.
Apply UTM Parameters (Optional)
UTM parameters help track where your traffic is coming from.
In the UTM Parameters tab, choose from:
- UTM Source – e.g. facebook, google (from library or custom)
- UTM Medium – e.g. cpc, email
- UTM Campaign – e.g. summer2025
- UTM Term – (used for paid search keywords)
- UTM Content – e.g. image-ad, button-cta
You’ll see your full URL with UTM parameters generated at the bottom of the section.
Click Next to continue.
Enable a QR Code (Optional)
Under the QR Code tab, toggle the Enable QR Code switch to On if you want to generate one.
You can customise colours and branding in a later step (see our QR Code article for full options).
7. Create the Link
Once you're happy with all sections, click Create Link.
Your new link is ready to copy, share, or download with its QR code.
Pro Tip:
Create separate links with unique UTM sources (like facebook, email, or QR) for the same campaign. This helps you track which channels are really converting.
