In this article, you’ll learn what the Day Planner is, what it’s used for, and how it helps your team manage bookings more efficiently.
What Is the Day Planner?
The Day Planner is your central hub for managing daily bookings in Stampede.
It shows all your reservations in a clear timeline view broken down by time slots, areas, and booking types so you can plan service at a glance.
You can use the Day Planner to:
View bookings for a specific date or time range
Check which areas or tables are available
Manage booking statuses (e.g. Seated, Paid, Cancelled)
Add or edit bookings directly
Identify special notes such as birthdays, allergies, or marketing sources
The Day Planner acts as your real-time schedule for the day, helping you stay organised and deliver smooth service from open to close.
Who Uses the Day Planner?
The Day Planner is designed for front-of-house teams, managers, and hosts who need a live overview of reservations.
It’s especially useful for:
Planning before service starts
Managing table flow during busy shifts
Tracking key guest information or special requests
How It Works
The Day Planner is structured by time slots across the day.
Each booking appears as a coloured block, showing:
Guest name
Party size
Duration
Booking type and area
You can click on any booking block to open full details, update its status, or make quick edits.
When to Use the Day Planner
Before service – to check reservations, table availability, and special notes.
During service – to track seated guests, free tables, and booking progress.
After service – to review completed bookings or follow up on guest notes.
Tip
Pair the Day Planner with the Floor Plan view for a complete picture of your venue.
Use the Day Planner to manage timings and bookings, and the Floor Plan to visualise where guests are seated in real time.
